Return journeys

A day out, with the journey home arranged

What to include when requesting transport to a place you want to explore.

Terraces and mountain views at Monte Albán, Oaxaca

Some places deserve a few hours on foot. A private destination transfer can get you there while leaving the visit itself up to you. Plan the return journey at the same time so the day has a clear ending.

Choose a meeting point you can find again

Ask for a pickup point that is practical for the vehicle and easy to identify. Save its name or location before you leave the car. A landmark near the entrance may work better than an imprecise pin.

Give yourself breathing room

Opening times, queues, walking distances and the weather can affect a visit. Choose a return pickup time with some flexibility, and confirm how to contact the operator if your plans change.

Separate transport from the visit

A transfer request does not include admission, a guide or an organized activity unless the quote expressly says so. Book or check those arrangements separately with the attraction.

Confirm the return arrangement

A return pickup and a vehicle waiting on site are different services. Tell the operator which you want and check the quote. Do not assume that an outward transfer includes either.
